Lost a pet in Tombstone or Cochise County?
There is no one dog pound or animal shelter here, but there are plenty of people who are willing to help you find your pet.
The list of Cochise County animal shelters is below.
If you have lost your pet in Tombstone, start with the Tombstone Small Animal Shelter (first listing below).
If they can't help, try the Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center in Sierra Vista (second listing below).
If you have lost your pet elsewhere in Cochise County, try the animal shelter nearest to where you lost your pet.
In addition to the above suggestions add the following:
AND call the Douglas Animal Shelter AND the Willcox Animal Shelter (third and fourth listing below).
Any pet picked up by the Sheriff's Officers anywhere in Cochise County will be turned over to either the Douglas or Willcox shelters -- they are contracted with the county to provide animal control/shelter services.
Consider actually visiting all of the shelters, not just calling, to have the greatest chance of finding you pet.
All other shelters listed below are volunteer organizations who may or may not be able to help you, but contact them anyway.
Be persistent and keep calling and/or visiting ALL the shelters.
